In part 2, the Mind Solutions team explore 23 more facts about vaping in Dubai - exploring the hidden side effects, and what it means for you and your family.

How addictive is Vaping?

The adrenalin that is triggered by vaping is a highly addictive hormone as it stimulates the pleasure zones so it as easy to get addicted to vaping as any other pleasure inducing activity – even a sporting activity is addictive if you get pleasure from it but which would you prefer your body to be addicted to? A self-harming activity such as vaping and smoking, or something that is going to make you healthy?

Is it hard to stop vaping?

More than 90% of people who quit smoking cigarettes do so without any difficulty.

Once we decide to do something and are 100% committed, then it is easy. And it is the same with vaping.

No one is making you do this self-harming activity so don’t leave it until the serious health effects have kicked in because, then it is too late - It is just a habit that beloings in the past.

Throw away the equipment and liquid in find something more healthy to do instead of vaping – listen to music, read a book, go for a walk, take up a new hobby, skype a friend – anything rather than vaping!

It’s just as hard to stop vaping as it is to stop smoking – as hard as you choose for it to be.

It takes 48 hours for nearly all of the nicotine to leave your body, whether you have been smoking cigarettes or vaping. It’s down to how committed you are to listening to your hypnosis and following our guidance on how to make yourself resilient against picking up your vape again.

Vaping and second hand smoke

Children are more susceptible to the health effects associated with inhaling airborne pollutants because of their developing respiratory systems and lower body weights.

Additionally, nicotine is toxic to infants and children, and nicotine exposure can have adverse health effects that include impaired brain and lung development.

Vaping and e-cigarettes are far from free of toxic substances.

Vapes can emit significant amounts of nicotine into the air, though not always as much as traditional cigarettes. However, the nicotine levels in the secondhand vapors from e-cigarettes are high enough to cause potential involuntary nicotine exposure to non-vapers in the same room.

Additionally, a 2014 review of vaping studies found that the aerosols exhaled by vapers can contain formaldehyde, acetone, heavy metals and volatile organic compounds

Juul is a popular brand of Vape sold worldwide

Why do I vape?

It’s very quick and easy to form an emotional attachment to the vaping habit, using it to relax, or as a pick-me-up during the day. Also, nicotine cravings create a feeling of stress in your mind, which can be relieved with more nicotine. In these ways and many others, vaping quickly and quietly becomes a part of your every day life

Can you gain weight from vaping?

It is possible that vaping could make you gain weight.

When we ingest toxins into our body, this triggers an automatic response to the invasion/threat to the body which stimulates the release of adrenalin, cortisol and insulin. Insulin will then tell the body to store fat rather than burn fat, slow down the metabolism and at the same time trigger cravings for energy supplying foods such as sugars and carbohydrates.

What is popcorn lung?

"Popcorn lung" is the nickname for bronchiolitis obliterans, a condition that is caused by ingesting chemicals and steam into the lung which then damages the airways leading to shortness of breath, coughing and other respiratory complications.

No.

There is nothing healthy about taking chemicals and liquids that have been heated to a high temperature into the body.

There is evidence that suggests that vaping and juuls etc can help people to quit smoking cigarettes but this is not so in the majority of cases as people tend to end up doing both.

Does vaping leave a smell?

There is no smell of burning from vaping such as you get from a regular cigarette but there are smells that come from any flavours added to the liquid and from the heating of the glycerine and chemicals that the nicotine is suspended in.

Although effects are not fully understood, vapings still contains harmful carcinogens that can affect the heart, lungs and other organs

Can you get mouth cancer from vaping?

Yes.

The warmth of the steam opens up the capillaries in the mouth, throat and bronchial tubes, which allows the chemicals and nicotine to enter the blood stream and create a temporary high but these toxic substances are poison to our system and after just one hour of vaping, can cause permanent damage to the heart, brain, mouth, throat and lungs.

Is it better to quit vaping cold turkey?

Quitting cold turkey is always better if you are quitting something that is harmful to the body.

There are very few withdrawal symptoms from quitting vaping so it is best to just do it – as soon as possible before any long-term damage is done.

Yes. Absolutely.

Vaping and using a Juul triggers of the pleasure zones in the brain and the body very quickly gets addicted to this.

How long does vaping withdrawal last?

It takes less than 3 days for all the nicotine to be removed from your system.

It may feel like flu like symptoms for those three days but better to have those than a life time of damage to your lungs, throat, brain, heart.

What are the dangers of vaping?

Vaping can lead to permanent damage to every part of your body that the toxins and steam touch – lips, mouth, tongue, throat, bronchial tubes, lungs and also reduces circulation to your heart, brain and every area of your body – people are dying from vaping – don’t let it be you!

Is vaping worse than smoking?

American public health experts disagree about the overall safety of vaping, especially when it comes to the use of vapes among high school students, with whom the trend is especially popular.

Some argue that vapes help decrease cigarette smoking among high school students, while others worry that vaping may entice young people eventually to switch to traditional cigarettes.

Can I die from vaping?

Yes, there are already 9 cases of death from vaping in USA alone.

Does vaping cause acne?

There is no medical evidence to support this but as vaping is usually the injestion of nicotine, which triggers the release of adrenalin, our flight or flight response, there may be a link as acne is often linked to stress and hormonal imbalance.
